ling02Nature: It seems that the more macho a man is — at least according to his hormones — the more the sight of an attractive woman will affect his judgement.

Researchers at the University of Leuven in Belgium asked men to play an ultimatum game, in which they split a certain amount of money between them. High-testosterone men drove the hardest bargain — unless they had previously viewed pictures of bikini-clad models, in which case they were more likely to accept a poorer deal.

The sight of flesh had less effect on the bargaining tactics of low-testosterone men. Click here to read the story.

This time I directly went to Palmers (Austria's largest textile group and the market leader in ladies' lingerie and men's underwear). During my time as a students representative at the commercial academy I once decorated a party room with a Palmers billboard poster (504 cm x 238 cm, Therese Gargas, 1996; THX to the marketing department). What a success! The only drawback: I hired two go-go girls that danced in front of the placard. Some pupils told them to piss off...
